The UN Just Unveiled A New Design for Floating City Called "OCEANIX"

The future is here, folks. [Well, almost.]

The United Nations just unveiled designs for a floating city that is built to withstand all kinds of natural disasters -- including Category 5 hurricanes. [It's worth noting that this "floating city" will actually be moored to the ocean floor.]

Engineers & architects estimate that the city could hold around 10,000 residents, who would be divided onto six hexagonal platforms that support six individual villages. [My brain hurts.]

The concept also calls for "ocean farming" -- which is exactly what it sounds like. Residents would have to grow their food beneath the surface of the water!
