The Operation Incognito campaign is in effect for its second year across Tennessee highways, starting today. The Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) will use a bus to look for distracted drivers and issue citations.
Davidson County had the most distracted driving crashes last year with 2,449.
The THSO will also be bringing attention to National Work Zone Awareness Week to make sure that people pay attention to construction crews working along the highways.
Their tips to stay alert on the road include:
- Set your GPS ahead of time
- Secure your kids and pets
- Eat before you get into the car
- Put down your phone
