Nashville City Council Passes Face Mask Ordinance for Essential Employees

Nashville is stepping up their safety as COVID-19 cases increases. The Metro Nashville Council has passed an ordinance that requires all essential employees to wear face coverings while on the job. This ordinance is not going to superseded the mandate that went into effect last week.

But the Council's ordinance will require construction workers to wear masks on the job. This was not included in the Health Departments mandate earlier.

If you are found violating the ordinance you will not be cited but the employer or manager will be subject to a Class C misdemeanor.
