Nashville Police Issue 494 Mask Warnings, No Citations on Broadway

It is officially mandatory to wear your mask when out in public. Nashville has been having a little bit of trouble when it comes to order around this new mandate. Police said no citations were issued on the first day through 1AM on Thursday, but officers gave 494 warning verbal warnings and handed out 70 educational forms. "The flyers are serving as a warning to educate people about the mandate, Metro Nashville Police Department said."

In addition, the police handed out 79 masks to homeless people. A heat map showed an outbreak of active coronavirus cases downtown, so officers announced that they would concentrate on the Broadway area.
