Seattle Seahawks Ugo Amadi Partners with MNPS for Back to School Drive

With the heat index of 103 degrees this past weekend it would have been work just to step outside to do anything. Fortunately, Seattle Seahawks Ugo Amadi is stepping up and making sure the children of Nashville have the supplies to go back to school. Normally we would see a few Back to school drives for students. But with the pandemic it is becoming even more of a task. Amadi teamed up with Metro Nashville Public Schools Community Achieves initiative to get the job done.

Instead of the traditional Back to School Supply event, they did a drive thru event at Mt. View Elementary School parking lot. They were able to give out backpacks, school supplies and other resources for during the event.

As an Antioch native and former student of Mt. View Elementary School and Overton High School graduate, Amadi saw first hand how supplies were needed among the challenges of receiving them due to COVID-19.

Check out what you can do during this time of pandemic to help out here.
