As it seems, Rutherford County students will be returning to school. Rutherford County Mayor Bill Ketron signed an executive order requiring everyone to wear face coverings in public to prevent the spread of COVID-19 this past Monday. Rutherford County's mask mandate began at 12AM Wednesday and will expire at 11:59PM on August 3rd.
The Rutherford County School board unanimously voted to require face masks at school for the upcoming school year. The school board will reconvene in the coming week to finalize the official opening plan.
