Teachers in the Works of Being Deemed Essential Workers in Tennessee

In the midst of the pandemic students are headed back to school. Whether virtually or physically, teachers are getting their lesson plans ready. Just recently, Tennessee has issued guidance for school districts that deem teachers essential workers. This will require that educators come to work even if they have been exposed to the coronavirus. Many of the school districts have created their own protocols as to what to do when someone has been exposed to the coronavirus.

The designation says that educators still come to work if they've been exposed to the virus or are even living with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. As long as the educator wear a mask and don't show symptoms they are allowed to teach.
