The report says young drivers did at least one of these things in the last month:

  • drove while texting
  • ran a red light
  • speeding
  • sped through a school zone

But before you look down on them. All the other age groups did just a little better. Which is nothing to brag about.

Here's where it looks really bad for millennials.  They don't see it as a problem when they do these things.  They feel no guilt.

“Alarmingly, some of the drivers ages 19-24 believe that their dangerous driving behavior is acceptable,” said Dr. David Yang from the AAA. Whoah.

And then there's this:

The report said "Nearly 12 percent of drivers ages 19-24 reported feeling that it is acceptable to drive 10 mph over the speed limit in a school zone, compared to less than 5 percent of all drivers".
