Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr. Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
The only American whiskey to win gold in the Single Barrel Bourbon category is this other whiskey under the Buffalo Trace tent. It has a slight tobacco taste and will cost you about $100.
1792 Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
This whiskey has a wing in the imginary hall of fame for all it's awards. The Small Batch version is more affordable, lower proof and has been pulling golds, double golds and “bests”.
Kentucky Owl Rye #1
#1 was the highest scoring whiskey in Whiskey Advocate’s summer 2018 archives. It's got one of the most complicated flavors if you read their lengthy dewcription, “Long, rounded notes of caramel, cinnamon roll, taffy, butterscotch, brisket burnt ends, nutmeg, Jamaican jerk, plum pudding, ginger, light sassafras, root beer, roasted marshmallow, cotton candy, orange peel, raw honey, and pie crust.”
