The Bachelorette's Becca and Garrett Address His Controversy

Another season of The Bachelorette has come and gone (Becca gave her final rose to Garrett Yrigoyen) and as always, it was not without controversy.

In this case, Garrett's character seemed to be shown through his likes on Instagram (an account he has since deleted). He liked many offensive posts including some mocking immigration, the transgender community, and a student activist who survived the Parkland shooting.

Bachelor alum Ashley Spivey posted a thread of ALL the receipts here:

Becca and Garrett addressed his Instagram likes by saying the following:

“I’m just trying to grow as a person, be a better person on a daily basis. She’s helped me through everything,” Garrett told viewers after apologizing again. “We’ve been honest and open and transparent with one another since the beginning. And when that all came out, we attacked it, because I feel like when I was liking things, it was going against what she stands for, and that made it really hard on us as a couple. So when we started talking about that, we got through that together, and we’re growing, we’re progressing and we’re moving forward.”
