This Life Hack Can Help Reduce Anxiety

Most people know that the scent of lavender can help you unwind at night before bed but new research shows that the plant could be used to medically treat anxiety!

A team of researchers at Kagoshima University in Japan confirmed that the scent of linalool (the fragrant alcohol found in lavender) helps mice relax. Those that were exposed to the aroma showed less signs of anxiety.

The next step in research will obviously be to make sure its safe to start clinical trials with actual humans but it's still good to know that we are one step closer to potentially being able to use it to medically treat anxiety.
