Meghan Markle Will Return To The Big Screen In A Very Surprising Role

Meghan Markle is heading back to the big screen! Well, kind of. Years before the now Duchess of Sussex met her husband, Prince Harry, she starred in The Boys and Girls Guide to Getting Down. Eight years after being filmed, the comedy has been picked up for distribution by Artist Rights Distribution for North America.

The film, which also stars Adam Pally and Max Greenfield, follows "a group of twenty-something singles — including Meghan’s character Dana — and their “outrageous” night out partying in Los Angeles," according to People.

Fans of Meghan's acting won't have too wait long to check out her long lost project. The Hollywood Reporter claims The Boys and Girls Guide to Getting Down will be released later this year. There are currently no exact details about where and when this film will be available for viewing.

Shortly after filming her role in The Boys and Girls Guide to Getting Down, Meghan landed her role on the long-running USA Network legal drama Suits. After seven seasons on the show, Meghan announced her engagement to Prince Harry, as well as her retirement from acting.

“I don’t see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change,” she said in her first interview with Harry following their engagement announcement. “It’s a new chapter, right? And also, keep in mind, I’ve been working on [Suits] for seven years. We were very, very fortunate to have that sort of longevity on a series,” she explained, adding, “I’ve ticked this box, and I feel very proud of the work I’ve done there, and now it’s time to work with [Harry] as a team.”
