How Ariana Grande's 'Sweetener World Tour' Is Helping Fans Register To Vote

Opening Night - Ariana Grande Sweetener World Tour

Ariana Grande's new tour is making voter registration a lot easier for her fans.

Thursday (March 18) saw the opening night for the "Thank U, Next" singer's long-awaited "Sweetener World Tour" in Albany, New York. And while fans waited in high anticipation to see their fave in full effect on stage, the pop star made the thoughtful decision to bring the nonprofit organization HeadCount along for the ride to make Arianators' voices heard.

In addition to kicking off her global jaunt, Grande also initiated the "#Thankunextgen" partnership with the company, who will be setting up voter-registration stations on every stop of the artist's worldwide trek.

HeadCount broke the collaboration last week, but tweeted this helpful reminder on how to get involved hours before the show: "Text ARIANA to 40649 to sign up to join the #thankunextgen and to volunteer at an #ArianaGrande show, register to vote, get election alerts, contact your legislators about issues you care about or get a reminder to register to vote at your 18th bday."

Already registered to vote? Great! HeadCount is always looking for volunteers, learn more on their website.

As previously reported, the opening night for Grande's "Sweetener World Tour" proved quite emotional for the entertainer, who paid a heartfelt tribute to her departed ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, who passed away in September of an accidental overdose. (ICYMI: see moments from her opening night here.)
