Nashville's Growth Shows Signs of Slowing Down

I'm sure you've heard that 100 new people move to Nashville each day. That was true in 2015 and 2016 but it's been slowly decreasing to 94 a day in 2017 and 83 in 2018.

However, the city is still feeling the growing pains: heavier traffic, housing price increases and displacement of low-income residents. On the flip side, the region is experiencing an all-time-high in tourism and a record-low in terms of unemployment.

So for now, we have a bit of a breather!

Even so, Nashville still grew faster than most large metro areas last year. I guess we can't help it that we're so awesome and everyone wants to move here!
