Authorities in Brazil took a parrot into custody after it tipped off a group of drug dealers that the cops were coming. As the officers prepared for the raid, the parrot saw them and started screaming "Mama, police!" in Portuguese.

“He must have been trained for this,” one officer said, according to the Guardian. “As soon as the police got close he started shouting.”

Once the police confiscated the parrot, it stopped shouting and has been quiet ever since. The parrot was given to a local zoo where it will be trained to fly and then released into the wild after about three months.

The parrot's warning was not enough to save the alleged drug dealers from the long arm of the law. Authorities found bundles of crack at the home and arrested a man and a teenage girl in connection with the illegal drug operation.
