The Kardashian-Jenner family did not break social distancing rules with their latest family function, according to Khloe Kardashian.
After sharing Instagram footage of her family's small get together in honor of Scott Disick's 37th birthday on Tuesday (May 26), the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star came under fire for allegedly not following California's recommendations to stay six feet apart and quarantine separately amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
"We know how they have been quarantined and thereâs less than 10 people with us," Khloe fired back on Instagram, per Daily Mail. "Itâs literally what the governor states is perfectly OK to do in the state of CA.â She added, âNot even trying to be rude. Drives me wild when people act as if they know. Of course we want to protect ourselves. Simply for the sake of our angels, not to mention our own health. But itâs human nature I guess."
The designer additionally wrote on her Instagram Story, âStay safe! Stay smart! Reminder, to keep gatherings small. 10 people maximum. Keep your distance.â
Khloe's response to critics came ahead of news that Scott and his girlfriend of nearly three years, Sofia Richie, had called it quits.
A source told Page Six that the former couple's relationship âran its courseâ but other issues, including Scott's âpast traumas,â which led him to rehab earlier this month, contributed to their split. âScott had gone back to his old ways and Sofia got fed up," the insider said.
The source also noted that the 37-year-old reality star and 21-year-old model had been quarantining separately, which allegedly took a toll on their romance. A second insider additionally told the outlet that Scott's relationship with his ex Kourtney Kardashian â the mother of his three children â also weighed on Sofia. âKourtney didnât make it easy for her,â the insider claimed, âand you can only tolerate that kind of treatment for so long.â
