Rumor has it another posthumous Juice Wrld album is in the works.
Rapper Lil Bibby, who was a friend and mentor to the late âLucid Dreamsâ musician, seemingly confirmed Juiceâs new project in a recent video. Bibby was catching up with gossip outlet The Hollywood Fix earlier this week when he casually let the news slip when asked what projects heâs been working on.
"[The] Kid Laroi...Juice Wrld next album," the 26-year-old told the cameraman before catching his slip, playfully adding, âIâm talking too much.â
Without giving away too much, the Chi-Town native, who also wore a âLegends Never Dieâ face mask as a tribute to Juiceâs latest posthumous EP of the same name, closed the convo on a promising note. While Bibby couldnât say when the reportedfollow-up would drop, he teased, âJuice Wrld next album crazy.â
Juice died from an accidental overdose at aged 21 in December 2019. Over the summer, the rapperâs first posthumous effort, titled Legends Never Die, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, pushing 497,000 units in its first week.
The âSmileâ musician had been signed to Bibbyâs GA Productions in partnership with Interscope Records. After Juiceâs posthumous EP dropped, Bibby gave an interview on what it was like to put Legends Never Die together on the backend.
"I tried to put it together to kinda tell a story and like I said, the last talks that I had with Juice, I kinda like remember where his mind was at and I wanted to explain exactly what he was going through at the time with the music," the âDead or in Prisonâ star explained at the time. "Somebody that was fighting addiction, anxiety, detachment. It's a lot of stuff that he was going through and I just wanted to make sure that the music told the story."
