Saw this posted on Reddit. It's a list of rules if you're moving to Music City. It's a great explanation of the 'Nashville Way' for newcomers and a darn helpful reminder for those of that have been here.
Do you agree with these? Did they miss anything?
It has all the essentials.
1 TREAT EVERYONE HERE LIKE FAMILY.
We won't be a great city until we do.
2 DON'T HONK.
And let others into traffic. Even our roads should be friendly
3 KEEP YOUR HANDSHAKE AGREEMENTS.
Trust is valued here.
4 GET TO KNOW YOUR NEIGHBORS.
In and out of your zip code.
5 RESPECT THE MUSIC.
Protect our songwriters and musicians.
6 SAY HELLO TO STRANGERS.
Everyone should feel at home here.
7. BE GENEROUS
Give time, not just money.
8 STEREOTYPES DO NOT APPLY
Everyone has a story.
9 HONOR YOUR NEIGHBORS' TRADITIONS
So they can honor yours.
10- WELCOME NEWCOMERS
We've all had our first day in Nashville.
11 DON'T ASK NASHVILLE TO CHANGE FOR YOU
We all chose to live here for a reason.
12 BE KIND. ALWAYS.
It's the Nashville way.
AMEN
