Nashville Predators Goalie Juuse Saros Made History Last Night

Nashville Predators netminder Juuse Saros was an absolute beast Thursday against the Carolina Hurricanes. The Hurricanes launched a barrage of shots but Saros amazed and played like a future Hall of Famer, stopping all but three of Carolina’s 67 shots on goal in a 5-3 victory.

You read that right. He faced

67 shots

And he stopped 64 of them.

That is the highest amounts of shots faced by any goalie in Predators history. Record: ✅

This was just hours after his team told him during the morning skate that he was named to the NHL All-Star team for the second year in a row.

To put his amount of saves in one game in perspective, check this out. It's the highest amount of saves in 21 years in the NHL. That makes Juice the 6th goaltender in NHL history to make 60 saves in a game and the first since Ron Tugnutt on March 21, 1991.

Check out this recap.
