Tennessee To Try To Make Day After Super Bowl A Legal Holiday

We've been saying on the Woody and Jim Show for years, that the day after the Super Bowl should be a day off work. Somebody listened.

Two Tennessee lawmakers are trying to make the day after the big game (and Rihanna concert) a legal holiday in the Volunteer State. Senator London Lamar and Representative Joe Towns Jr. are sponsoring bills in their respective chambers to make it happen.

So it's possible you could lay in bed with your beer and nacho cheese hangover, instead of trusting in to work.

It would take effect immediately if it becomes a law. But... there's a trade off.

They would have to take away another legal holiday (but why?!). They are suggesting letting go of Columbus Day to get the post Super Bowl day off.
