Barney The Dinosaur Is Comin Back, But People Don't Like The New Look

Mattel is bringing Barney The Dinosaur back to tv. Barney and Friends was a staple of PBS from 1992 to 2010. While they haven't said where you'll be able to see the reimagined show, they said he'll be animated instead of a sweaty guy in a suit.

More details on the new show in a hot second. But first, let's talk about the controversy of his new look. Many are saying it looks like he had some work done.

This one was brutal.

This one calls out the eyes. They kinda went from stoned to coked up Barney.

“In creating the new series, it was important to us that we properly reflect the world that kids today live in so that the series can deliver meaningful lessons about navigating it,” said Fred Soulie, of Mattel Television, in a news release.

“With our modern take on Barney, we hope to inspire the next generation to listen, care, and dream big,” Soulie said.

Mattel, which is mostly known for being a toy company, they will be producing the new show. They said that they plan on selling new and classic Barney apparel for children and....
