Growing up here in Nashville, I spent many Summers watching the Nashville Sounds play at Greer Stadium. I had so many great memories there at that stadium. There have been tons of great players that have played there, including Michael Jordan during his time playing baseball.
I will say I was glad that the Nashville Sounds finally got a new stadium! Greer Stadium had so much history there, but the stadium wasn't up to par with the rest of the ballparks around the league. Of course we've seen photos of how the stadium looks now and it's sad to see.
The demolition of the stadium is on track for July! The plans are to incorporate the site of the stadium into the campus of the Civil War-era Fort Negley historic site.
