Beautiful Winter Hikes Around Nashville

It's easy to experience a little cabin fever in the upcoming winter months...luckily, you can still get out and enjoy the Nashville area's beautiful scenery even if it's cold!

WARNING: Always exercise caution when hiking during cold weather - a lot of trails can be icy.

PEELER PARK
Peeler Park Greenway (1.9 miles)

This greenway is located in the Neelys Bend Loop in Madison - it's paved so you can ride bikes, jog or walk along the Cumberland River!

RADNOR LAKE
Radnor Lake Loop (1.35 miles)

Enjoy a walk around the scenic Radnor Lake and the small hills surrounding the lake!

BEAMAN PARK
Beaman Park Loop (5.5 miles)

The Beaman Park Loop is a little longer than the other ones on the list but you get to enjoy over 1700 acres of park land and there is also a nature center that holds different education programs and special activities!

PERCY WARNER PARK
Mossy Ridge Trail (4.5 miles)

Follow the trees marked with red paint to take the Mossy Ridge Trail that takes you through hills and hollows, open meadows and springs (probably frozen in these cold months).

LONG HUNTER STATE PARK
Volunteer Trail (5.5 miles one way)

You'll get to enjoy the wintry woods AND a view of Percy Priest Lake as well! It's a long hike though so make sure you prepare for that!
