Want to visit Italy but don't have the funds? You may be in luck!
Airbnb is hosting an Italian Sabbatical program that will send 4 winners to the southern Italian village of Grottole for 3 months this summer!
From there, the winners will get to enjoy the surrounding area that includes 10th century castles, caves where locals make wine and olive groves.
The participants will also spend time volunteering with Wonder Grottole, which is a nonprofit designed to revitalize the village's historic center.
Also on the agenda:
- take Italian language lessons
- learn how to run the local vegetable garden
- learn how to use the vegetables in authentic Italian cuisine
- get to stay in a rural home in the center of the village
Airbnb will cover all travel expenses and also provide up to 900 euros per month for any additional expenses!
