Pink Moon Can Be Seen from Earth on Good Friday

Just in time for Easter weekend, a "Pink Moon" will appear in the sky on Good Friday (April 19th)!

For those of us in the Central Time Zone, the moon will rise at about 7pm on Friday and set around 6am the next morning. The best time to see the "pink" moon will be when it rises and when it sets!

The "Pink Moon" is really just the full moon of April but it gets its' name from the Native Americans - they named the moon "pink" due to the wild ground phlox that bloomed in the springtime.
