Naked Man Shoots Several at Nashville-area Waffle House

A heartbreaking story out of Antioch early this morning, as a naked man armed with an AR-15 opened fire inside Waffle House at a little after 3:00am this morning.  Three people have been killed and another four injured in the shooting, according to MNPD.

The man walked into the Waffle House at 3:25am and randomly opened fire.  One of the restaurant's customers wrestled the rifle away from him, at which point the suspect ran on foot and is still at large.  Police do have a primary suspect, as the vehicle the gunman arrived in was registered to Travis Reinking from Morton, Illinois.

At least three of the injured were taken to Vanderbilt Hospital, and all were listed in critical condition, though once has since been upgraded to critical but stable.

Waffle House issued a statement shortly following the tragedy. "We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident. Right now, our first thoughts are with the victims and their families, and we will be there for them in this most difficult time. We are still gathering the details, and so we do not have much information to share ... This is a very sad day for the Waffle House family."

It's sad that things like this keep happening.  Who knows what would have motivated this man to walk in to a random establishment and commit such a heinous act while people are eating and enjoying each other's company.  Here's hoping that MNPD can track down the gunman quickly and bring him to justice.  Our sincerest thoughts and prayers with the victims and their families.  If you have any information that could help, call 615-862-8600.

UPDATE: A new report at 6:53am. states that there are actually four victims that have passed away
