UPDATED: Downtown Nashville Restaurant Closed Indefinitely After Fire

One of our favorite spots on Lower Broadway won't be open again for a while! Nashville Fire Department responded to a fire at Merchants', a staple in downtown Nashville located at 4th and Broadway.


It's unclear what caused the fire, but the restaurant will be closed "indefinitely" according to their owners.


Literally, guys, I ordered lunch from their yesterday.  ALWAYS good food, good drinks, and not to mention their Duck Fat Tater Tots which are uh-MAZ-ing.

Luckily no one was hurt in the blaze.  Hopefully they figure out what caused it and are able to re-open soon!

UPDATE (2:00pm): It's been determined that the fire was caused by a smoker on the 3rd floor of the restaurant.  No serious damaged was caused, an owners believe the restaurant will be back open as soon as tomorrow.
