An accident involving an armored truck has I-40 closed in Humphreys County. Both drivers are expected to survive the crash, but the money that the truck was carrying may not.
The accident happened on Westbound I-40 near Cuba Landing in Humphreys County when a Garda truck collided with another vehicle, spilling numerous coins all over I-40. There were injuries in the crash, and one driver was transported via LifeFlight to Vanderbilt, but both are expected to survive.
Before you get too excited about the free-for-all on coins, though, THP would like you to know that they've all been cleaned up already.
I-40 is expected to re-open around 5:00pm.
