The Titans could be without Derrick Henry for the rest of the season, but that doesn't mean they're giving up on a playoff run.
Per Adam Schefter from ESPN, the Titans are signing future Hall-of-Fame runningback Adrian Peterson
Peterson played in 2020 with the Detroit Lions, running for 604 yards and 7 touchdowns on the year, but in his prime he was one of the greatest runningbacks in NFL history. He ran for over 1,000 yards in seven of his first nine NFL seasons, all with the Minnesota Vikings, including a 2,097 yard/12 touchdown season in 2012. He's bounced around with the Saints, Cardinals, Washington Football Team, and Lions since leaving Minnesota after the 2016 season.
While he's certainly no Derrick Henry at this stage in his career, Peterson gives the Titans another experienced, workhorse back to complement Jeremy McNichols, who's carried the ball just seven times this year
