A tombstone in Iowa is causing a big controversy, as it contains a hidden message that many find offensive
Forever in our hearts
Until We Meet Again
Cherished Memories
Known As
Our son, brother
Father, Papa, Uncle
Friend & Cousin
Now...read the first letter of every line. CLEARLY this was intentional. The man's daughter says "it was definitely his term of endearment." Well, now people are upset, and there's a chance that the family has to remove the headstone and replace it with one that is deemed more appropriate.
I say LET THE GUY REST IN PEACE. Clearly it has meaning to him and his family...why should it bother you? It doesn't blatantly say anything offensive on the tombstone, so you'd have to REALLY be looking at it to be offended...in which case why are you looking at someone else's tombstone that closely?
