Wordle took over the world earlier in this year, and now the New York Times plans on making some money off of it finally. "Wordle: The Party Game" is coming out on Amazon and at Target this October, and it's literally a board game version of the popular online game.
The gameplay is exactly the same as online, but you're competing against other people. One person will know what the five-letter word is, and everyone has six chances to guess it. From there, you have four different ways to play. Classic mode, fast mode (a race to see who gets the Wordle faster), timed mode, where you have to beat the clock, or timed mode, where you work as a team. The game will come with dry-erase boards to write on, and green and yellow tiles to cover the letters with.
So the game sort of looks like Pictionary,but with five letter words.
