YouTube may basically make you sit through a commercial break soon.
Twitter user and tech expert @sondesix on Twitter shared reports from multiple users that YouTube was experimenting with an ad format that forces users to watch anywhere between 5 and 10 unskippable ads before viewing their content.
The report has been verified by other users of the platform, including this one that had 12 unskippable ads playing before their content
Obviously, YouTube is a for-profit business, so their goal is to either maximize profits from their content or force users into a YouTube Premium subscription, but nonetheless users are upset about the sheer number of ads they'll be forced to sit through.
What do you think? Would having this many ads tempt you to subscribe to YouTube Premium? Or just make you mad to the point that you don't want to use the app at all anymore?
