The powerful storm surge from Hurricane Ian brought an unexpected visitor into the streets of Fort Myers, Florida - a shark!!
The viral video, shared by @BradHabuda and originally captured by Ed Bell in the Devonwood community in South Ft. Myers, has been viewed over 13 million times.
While similar videos and pictures have been debunked from past storms, this one is ACTUALLY real, and has been verified and authenticated by multiple sources. While it's not clearly a shark, it's definitely some kind of large ocean animal swimming through the surge. This wouldn't be impossible, as bull sharks especially tend to swim near beaches, so it's not a stretch to see surge so high that the current carried on further inland.
But HOLY CRAP could you imagine looking outside your window and seeing this thing swimming around outside your yard?!?!
