Carson Wentz Amongst Many Philly Athletes Donating Funds Amidst Pandemic

I guess this is why they call him Ginger Jesus!

Carson Wentz, who created the charitable AO1 foundation, is using his charity to donate $100,000 to help people who are in need and financially struggling during the Coronavirus pandemic.

According to CBS Philadelphia,

The money will help pay for groceries for people in need and meals for health care professionals on the frontlines.

Except that's not all...

It also looks like fellow Eagle, Rodney McCleod and his wife, have also donated a generous amount to Philabundance to help support families struggling to put food on the table in honor of the people and organizations working on the frontlines of this pandemic.

And that's STILL not It...

And this is why they call us the City of Brotherly Love; Speaking of Philabundance, the Philadelphia Flyers Charity donated $250,000 on Monday to help families fighting hunger during this time.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer:

The donation will allow Philabundance, one of the area’s largest hunger- relief organizations, to feed 160,000 people struggling with food needs during the COVID-19 pandemic...[And] Last week, the 76ers and the Sixers Youth Foundation contributed $250,000 to Philabundance.

Cumulatively, the sports teams of the Wells Fargo Center have donated $500,000 to help provide food to 320,000 people in the region.
