Southwest Will Resume Alcohol Sales Sooner Than Expected

Southwest Airlines will resume alcohol sales on February 16th for fights at least 176 miles long.

This comes after a two year hiatus, due to the pandemic and unruly passengers. They were set to resume alcohol sales in June of last year, but they cancelled those plans after a flight attendant was attacked mid-flight. The flight attendants' union has pushed back on this changed with no success.

They will restore a wide range of alcoholic beverages including beer, wine, vodka, whiskey, rum and tequila as well as nonalcoholic beverages like tonic water, apple juice, Coke Zero, Dr. Pepper, hot tea and hot cocoa.
