Duffer Brothers Spill More Details On The Fifth And Final 'ST' Season

"Stranger Things" creators are giving up more details on the last season of the show.

The Duffer Brothers spoke to "IndieWire" about adding new characters to the series and their thought process when it comes to the fifth and final season of the hit show. They plan to keep this season's focus on the original cast members and will do their best not to add any new characters this time around.

When a new character is added, there's a risk. Making sure the new character fits means less time to get into the stablished character's individual stories, so they have a very specific thought process when adding new people to the mix. “Whenever we introduce a new character, we want to make sure that they’re going to be an integral part of the narrative,” said Ross Duffer. “We can’t add someone that’s going to just take away from our characters if they’re not terrific.” Joseph Quinn's character, Eddie Munson, was used as the perfect example.
