Abandoned Huntsville H.S. Becomes Adult Playground

Campus805 began its story in 1951 when it opened as the S.R. Butler High School in Huntsville, Alabama. The school then changed to Roy L. Stone Middle School in 1967. By 2009, the school had closed and the property was up for sale. It took five years to find the right owner, but eventually the property sold to Randy Schrimsher with the intent to create a unique development that preserved the school.

Today, the property is home to two breweries, restaurants, axe-throwing, virtual golf courses, pinball machines, boozy ice cream, and a distillery!  Campus 805 made sure to keep the "school" atmosphere by building a distillery in the old gym and making tables and bars out of the old gym floorboards!

But the best part? That's gotta be the speakeasy hidden behind refurbished lockers!
