With temperatures in Nashville dropping below the freezing point, the Nashville Police Department is offering assistance to homeless persons. Officers will transport them to warm shelters for the night.
Metro PD is also urging you to call them at 615-862-8600 if you see someone in need of assistance.
The city has also opened an extreme weather shelter at Shelby Park Community Center. The shelter will open tonight at 7pm and remain open until 10am on Thursday, January 31st.
