Halsey Uses Timberlake's "Cry Me A River" Lyric in New Breakup Anthem

Halsey just released new breakup anthem Without Me -- and tbh there are several reasons that we're all freaking out.

1. Without Me is all about Halsey's highly publicized breakup with G-Eazy, after he was caught cheating on her several months ago.

2. The couple has since reunited, so this song coming out anyway is ~*KiNdA aWkWaRd!*~

3. HALSEY USES A LYRIC FROM ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE SONGS OF ALL TIME ABOUT 3/4 OF THE WAY THROUGH THE TRACK! [hint: cry me a river]

Listen to Without Me below!

Apparently this song is the first she's ever written under her birth name, Ashley Frangipane.

I think that’s what I’m kind of getting at is that it’s like it’s not protected by some character or some subplot,” she said in an interview with Beats 1 Radio. “It’s like this is really me talking about my life. It kind of gave me like an existential crisis as an artist a little bit, because I’ve prided myself on being an artist who’s authentic and writes about her life and all that stuff. And then when I made this and I felt just how bad it hurt.”

Thoughts?!
