Local Veteran Travels 2,200 Miles On Foot To Raise Awareness #ForThe22

Ernesto Rodriguez, a veteran from Clarksville, is traveling 2,200 miles on foot to bring honor and awareness for the 22 veterans who commit suicide everyday.

His journey began on Veterans Day as he left Clarksville on foot. Carrying a 60 lb rucksack and the American flag, he covers about 16-20 miles a day. His goal is to reach Los Angeles this month.

Taking no cash donations, Rodriquez only accepts hotel stays and hot meals. He asks that those wishing to help him give to veterans organizations on his behalf. Check out a list of organizations you can donate to HERE!

You can purchase a shirt to help him on his journey HERE
