The Baoying Car and Transport Company in Yangzhou, China, thought it would be a good idea to change the way their employees were paid recently. Because of a coin surplus, they gave everyone their pay but did it in coins.
Mashable is reporting that not only did they give their employees coins but it was in the lowest amount possible of 1 yuan, which is about 15 cents in USD. Everyone was paid with rolls of 100 yuan coins.
The people were paid exactly what they should have gotten but still, to be paid in coins is a HUGE headache.
Can you imagine trying to deposit that at your bank? At least after the employees complained then the company took the coins back and gave out regular paychecks.
