10-Year-Old Bullied About Her Skin Color Launches Her Own T-Shirt Line

10-year-old Kheris Rodgers was being bullied by other students at school because of her dark skin tone. On numerous occasions she experienced colorism, the idea that dark skin is frowned upon while lighter skin is glamorized.

To try and lift up Kheris' spirits, her older sister Taylor took things into her own hands and styled and dressed Rodgers for a Wiz-inspired fashion show. She shared the photos on Twitter with #FlexinInHerComplexion.

The viral response from the tweet inspired Kheris to create her own t-shirt line, Flexin' In My Complexion.

The 10-year-old business owner, who was bullied for her dark skin turned her hurt into a statement.  Her line instills confidence to others who are facing colorism and it has received a positive response by thousands!
