If you're looking for something fun and free to do with the family this weekend consider checking out some of Tennessee's museums. Tomorrow is "Museum Day" and you can get in for free at several museums around the state.
So we went through and created a list of the places around town you can get in for FREE tomorrow!
First up on our list is the Frist Art Museum. This place is a great place to enjoy with the family. Right now they've got a very great exhibit called the WE SHALL OVERCOME: CIVIL RIGHTS AND THE NASHVILLE PRESS, 1957-1968. It is very educational exhibit to check out!
Next up on our list is the Historic Travellers Rest museum. According to their website, "Historic Travellers Rest is the oldest home open to the public in the city of Nashville, TN. It is one of the only surviving examples of Federal architecture and was the home to one of Tennessee’s early influencers, John Overton."
Another awesome place to check out is the Tennessee State Museum. This is a place that you could spend hours in learning about the history of Tennessee. They've also got some really cool artifacts there as well!
