2 baby red pandas are the newest residents of the Nashville Zoo.
Mama panda Mei Mei gave birth to the two cubs June 16th. They'll be nest bound for about 3 months. The babies, that are born blind and almost never move for a while.
This is the first litter for Mei Mei. Nashville zookeepers were able to track her pregnancy through an ultrasound for much of the pregnancy. They're a big deal because Red Pandas are not making a lot of babies, and when they do, the mortality rate is high.
