This soccer stadium could be a reality if Nashville gets a Major League Soccer team. Nashville is one of 12 US cities in the running for one of the two teams that'll be awarded.
The proposed stadium would sit on part of the property that is now the state fairgrounds south of Nashville.
The group that wants the franchise here says it would have seating for 30,000 fans.
John Ingram, who's in charge of trying to get the MLS team, told the Metro Council.
"Having a stadium that is approved by MLS is an absolutely essential part of ultimately being successful," he said. "We've tried to put together something that we believe represents a great partnership between our MLS-in-Nashville group and the city."
