Ever since Hurricane Florence made landfall and was downgraded to a Category 1 hurricane, a lot of people have been saying that this hurricane is much ado about nothing. Wrong. It's awful. People have died. The way it's damaging just changed. It's parked over the Carolina's dumping rain and there's storm surges.
Not convinced of how scary it is? Look at this incredible piece of augmented reality created by The Weather Channel to show the danger of storm surges.
And they got the point across without putting a reporter and crew in life threatening danger to stand in front of the shoreline holding onto a flagpole.
