Tawnya Greenfield thought the person who gave her the knife was an employee from the haunted house and believed it was a fake knife. So she played along. But the knife was real and the results are horrifying.

Metro police

Fox 17 news talked to Greenfield and she said the person approached her outside the haunted house while she was waiting in line.  The costumed person asked Tawnya if her friend was messing with her. She said, "yes". That's when she said the person handed her the knife and said, “well here, stab him.”

Thinking she was playing along with a fake knife, she stabbed her friend and said, "ha,ha gotcha!"

The results were horrible.  "His arm was gushing blood like something out of a horror scene," she said.

According to the police report, Greenfield described the scene, “blood squirting from the victim’s left arm.”  The victim was sent to Skyline Medical Center. The man who gave Greenfield the knife disappeared back into the crowd. Originally it was thought it was a mysterious stranger. But police have discovered it actually was an employee.

Those in legal circles have told Fox 17 that the victim has a real and valid case for a lawsuit.

This is a very scary time because people are costumed and someone with ill intent can be in disguised and not stand out.
