Today is day one for Amazon's new restaurant delivery service in Nashville for Prime customers. You can order directly from many of Nashville's great food places using the app or the Amazon.com website.
You enter your address and zip code online at www.amazon.com/restaurants or using the Amazon or Prime Now mobile apps to see which restaurants will deliver right to your door. Customers can browse menus, place orders, and track the status of their delivery in real time. Plus, for a limited time, customers can take $10 off their first two orders when they enter the promo code 10EAT10 at checkout.
Restaurants include: Virago, Saint Añejo, Whiskey Kitchen, and Moto Cucina + Enoteca and Tavern from M Street Entertainment Group, Chauhan Ale & Masala House, Tànsuŏ and The Mockingbird from Morph Hospitality Group, and Pepperfire Hot Chicken, 417 Union, and Prince's Hot Chicken Shack South.
We tried it out this morning by ordering hot chicken and waffles from Wild Eggs Nashville at 9:45AM.
Delivery price was $3.99. Tip was about $2 already added to the bill. Then we tracked it as it made it's way to the office on Music Row.
We got a text when the driver was a minute away. And there it was. We were his first Amazon restaurant delivery ever! History was made at 10:20am.
