Over 45 pounds of powerfully drug laden gummies were found in luggage at Nashville International Airport. The gummies were infused with large amounts of THC (the effective ingredient in marijuana that makes you high). The product labels say they were made with 98% THC oil.
K-9 dogs at BNA tipped off authorities when they smelled pot in luggage coming into Nashville from Oakland, CA. One peice of luggage had 155 bags of gummies hidden inside layers of clothing. A duffle bag had another 72 bags.
Airport authorities found the owner, 33-year-old Siddarius Heard. He gave them permission to search his bags. They asked if he had any drugs. He told them he just had some gummies. Yeah, 45 pounds of gummies!
He's in metro jail. He has prior drug offenses in Georgia. His bail is $25,000 (or about the price of a sandwich in an airport food court).
