If you didn't make it to the Smoky Mountains this summer, put this down for next year. The fireflies in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park put on a light show that is nothing short of spectacular. The parks service says the fireflies put on a synchronous light show. Yes. They actually coordinate how and when they light up so they can do it in unison.
The kind of light show we'd expect from a computer light show is created by the tiniest of creatures in the woods of East Tennessee. And it attracts people from all over the world.
